Reyn's Story

Hi, my name is Reyn, and I am a super handsome brown tabby with the most gorgeous green eyes! I'm estimated to be about 3 years old. I was originally found as a stray with a terrible upper respiratory infection, until I was rescued and nursed back to health by an amazing foster family. The vet says I am in very good shape now!

Because of my tough past, I am a sensitive soul. I get nervous in new places and around new people, and it does take time for me to build trust. However, with some extra time and patience I open up and am a total sweetheart. I am just looking for the perfect home to give me that chance. I have blossomed in my foster home so far. My most favorite things in the world are the cat tower by the window and couch time with my foster family, especially when I get to snuggle on the fleece blanket! I've even learned how to play with toys. I also make the cutest little meows at feeding time!

I adore other cats and really enjoy snuggling my kitty friends! I have excellent kitty social skills, though, and I respect cats who don't want to share their space.

I am FIV+. FIV weakens the immune system so it is important for FIV cats to live indoors where they are not exposed to bacteria and viruses. In an indoor home, FIV cats live long and healthy lives with no special care required. FIV cats can also live happily with other kitties. FIV is not spread through close contact like grooming, sharing food bowls, or using the same litter box. The only way FIV is spread between adult cats is through deep bite wounds, which is why FIV is mainly seen in male cats who were fending for themselves on the streets at one point. If you have any questions about FIV, don't hesitate to ask!

I will come to my new home neutered, fully vaccinated, combo tested (FIV+, FELV-), flea treated, dewormed, and microchipped. I always use the litterbox like a good boy. If you are interested in adopting, contact OPP about me today!
