RENN's Story

Well hello there; my name is Renn and I'm looking for my forever home. I was surrendered to RASKC by my owners on March 27, 2026. In my previous home I got along with women and the teenagers in the home. I was very unhappy at the shelter & didn't do well meeting people (I wouldn't do it!) so I was sent to a foster home to decompress. After two weeks I decided to sniff and touch Foster Daddy's hand, found he'd pet me, and I liked it! I now spend a lot of time petting and sitting on his lap, but I can get overstimulated so I will need a home with cat people who can deal with my ways, and can accept taking a long time before I'm comfortable enough to become friends. I need a room by myself to start, with food, water and litter. You'll need to spend a lot of time just sitting in there where I can see you if I want to, and eventually I'll likely come to sniff you. If you have the patience to wait me out, I expect to make a good house cat. But kids and maybe other animals are likely to scare me. I am a sweet cat who may need extra time and attention to warm up to new situations and new people. When I was a wee little one, I was not taught how nice and friendly people can be, but I am learning quickly! Though I may be timid at first, once you take the time to show me I can trust you I will show you just how wonderful I can be. I am a medium-haired cat which means I will require freqent grooming, please keep that in mind. I am currently in a foster home, please fill out a foster interest form if you would like a chance to meet me :)
