Rella ***Bonded with Gizmo, friendly with Coco***'s Story

Rella: As in Cinderella, stunning white princess coming with my Prince Charming, Gizmo... and maybe my other male BFF, Coco?

So, my name is extremely appropriate. I was in the cinders, neglected of love and attention, in a home with 5 cats, even more young kids, in an apartment that was chaotic, and life was a struggle. I did not get vet care, and I was having some face and skin issues, as well as I have this limp going on. I came to my foster home underweight and covered in scabs with an open sore on my face. My owner unfortunately was getting evicted, so 3 of us got the boot to this rescue called Fitchburg Friends of Felines, one went to grandma, and another was supposed to come with us, but never was handed over. She didn't like us, anyway, and hid under the bed more than I did! Or, maybe just as much.

So, three of us (myself, my Prince Charming, Gizmo, and our sidekick Coco were sent to the amazing space on a lake with beautiful views and an entire apartment all to ourselves. Our foster human and her hubby hangs out with us watching TV and tries to play with us, but we are not really interested. They keep trying! It is amusing... briefly...

But, someone new needed our space, so we got moved to a different part of the house, and our foster mom could not hang with us as much, and we need to find another home ASAP... so here you read about us!

I am a shy girl, so I am spooked pretty easily. Again, my homelife was chaotic, so I know to hide to stay off the radar. I am working on that.

This foster home is calm, so it is certainly a relief! And things are on the up and up! I am now gaining weight and love my wet food and lickable treats, which until I got here, I had no idea they even existed! All my ugly scabs are gone thanks to my expert foster human who minds me well. I have started realizing these toy things are pretty fun to bat around, and I am now seeking out head scratches from my human, and her warm lap!

I am still not a fan of being held or picked up, but I have made huge strides, so time will tell! I could just be in pain, and I have this limp thing going on with my leg, but I am so shy, the vets can't see me walk much since I crutch down and hide and will not walk for them, and x-rays did not show anything. So, now I have to go off to the orthopedic.

I am a fan of the cat water fountain, too! I must say this feeling like a princess is finally setting in, and Rella is appropriate!

While my personality is not a super friendly love bug... yet... I can confirm that my beauty is all you need! I am a perfect size 6! Well, 6 years old, 6 lbs... perfect... 6? have the softest, silkiest fur and sweetest little face you will ever see. I mean, when I allow you to see me. I do require a safe spot to hide until I find my strength to be seen, because everything is scary to me at first.

My ideal home is with my Prince Charming, Gizmo, and ideally, my other BFF, Coco. My human will need to be a kind, patient fur parent who will help me and my Prince Charming have a happily ever after.

Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family. This ensures that your feline companion is the perfect fit as well as provides support as you both transition into your new life together.

You can fill out an adoption application here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1685w60NjfU2eeE55Cd57TAaEZU7bERjyY825EMto48sTQw/viewform

Please reach out to Fitchburg Friends of Felines directly at 978-222-3170 or fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com with questions. Fitchburg Friends of Felines, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters are required to have a solid character reference, vet reference, and a site visit which can be conducted virtually. Due to MA regulations, we cannot intake pets from out of state. We offer a foster to adopt program to guarantee the intended kitty is a good fit for your family. We also require that all adopters agree to return the kitty should the adopter no longer be able to care for him or her in the future, or an agreed to person is identified to continue care for this kitty. We are not a brick and mortar; all available cats are kept in foster homes. Therefore, we would need time to schedule a visit to meet a kitty. We are happy to travel to match the perfect kitty for your family. Our adoption fees are normally $250 per cat, $350 for specialty breeds or exotics, and $50 less per kitty if interested in multiples. For specific questions, or for an adoption application, please feel free to reach out to us directly: fitchburgfriendsoffelines@gmail.com or call our hotline: 978-222-3170
