A PFOA MOTHERS DAY RESCUE STORY<br/>REIGN & SAGE MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER<br/><br/>An elusive pregnant cat had apparently been abandoned around the grounds of Seven Cedars Casino and survived only thanks to a Good Samaritan who quietly left out food and water for her. On April 30, everything changed. A grounds maintenance worker named Sage was condensing a burn pile when he heard a faint mew.<br/><br/>Instead of walking away, Sage dismantled the pile piece by piece and discovered the elusive mama cat hiding beside a tiny 4-week-old kitten. Sage and his mom safely brought the terrified pair to Safe Haven, where one of our caretakers, Reign, performed what can only be described as Olympic-level gymnastics to safely get Mama Cat out from under the passenger seat and into a carrier with her kitten. At one point, Mama launched herself in a dramatic escape attempt, but Reign caught her with superhero reflexes.<br/><br/>Thanks to teamwork, compassion, and one tiny little mew, mama Reign and baby Sage are now safe at Safe Haven and ready for the next chapter in their lives. This mother/daughter pair is very much bonded and looking for their new home together.
