Reed's Story

Meet Reed!

Reed is an 8-week-old gray-and-white short-haired kitten with striking green eyes, a tiny white nose, and a heart that's somehow even bigger than his personality. At just 1.5 pounds, this little guy has already shown incredible resilience and love.

Reed came into foster care at only 3 weeks old with a URI, and sadly lost his brother shortly after arriving. Despite such a difficult start, he has grown into an endlessly affectionate, trusting, and playful kitten who absolutely adores people. The second he sees you, the purring starts — and it rarely stops.

This sweet boy loves cuddling on his foster mom's chest, gazing up at her, gently pawing at her face, and falling asleep purring away. He's deeply bonded to humans and thrives on attention, affection, and companionship.

When he's not snuggled up, Reed is a total goofball. He zooms through tunnels, wrestles his toys, attacks dangling teasers, and can entertain himself endlessly with his favorite ball spinner. He also has a mischievous side and loves sneakily pouncing on feet or gently nibbling fingers during playtime.

Because Reed grew up primarily without another kitten after losing his brother, he's very social but still learning proper kitten play manners. He sometimes treats human hands like chew toys, so he must go to a home with another playful cat, kitten, or cat-friendly dog who can help continue teaching him appropriate play and give him the companionship he craves.

Reed is the perfect mix of cuddly, silly, affectionate, and entertaining — and he's more than ready to find a forever family to love endlessly.

Please apply using the following instructions if you are interested in adopting one of our Waggytails: Visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the cat is on our website, they are still available.

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue.

Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
