Reed's Story

Reed is a handsome black-and-white kitty who is approximately 4 years old. He has the cutest freckles on his nose. He has come out of his shell a lot since he arrived at the Shelter and has become quite affectionate with all our volunteers. Reed loves chin and head scratches and to be told he is the best boy.

Reed is FIV+ and does not seem to enjoy other cats here so we are looking for a single cat home for him. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives if kept indoors, fed a high-quality diet, and seen by a vet regularly. We would be happy to talk to potential adopters about FIV. We have placed many FIV kitties over the years.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application at https://www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms/cat.

If you are ready to adopt, please fill out an adoption application. We offer same-day adoptions, so if the cat is a fit, you can take them home the day of your meeting.

If a cat is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption, but applications may have been received before yours.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only. The adoption fee for cats seven months to two years old is $250 for one cat and $350 for a pair; for cats three years to ten years old, it is $200 for one cat and $300 for a pair; and for senior cats 11 years and over, it is $125. The fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip testing, testing for FeLV and FIV, and spaying/ neutering.
