Redbull's Story

hi. I'm Redbull. My siblings and I were found outside and were brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control. Despite being super adorable, no rescues were giving us a chance because we were feral and had never been around humans before, not that you would know it with how friendly and loving I am now! St. Sophia's took a chance on us and took us into foster and named us after energy drinks, hence my silly name, but to be honest, my foster family often calls me Stubby.

I've got the cutest little expressions, (I always look confused,) and have a little half tail that is sure to win your heart. I've come out of my shell a ton, I still sometimes run from getting picked up but don't worry, I love to come to you. You'll be watching tv and I will just hop up and join you on your lap and purr up a storm. I also love to wake up my foster mom in the morning to demand cuddles. Because I am still a but scared, I do require to go to a home with another car or kitten or to a home that already has a playful friend for me. While I can be skittish, I am at my core so loving and am just waiting for the perfect family to call my forever family to fully bring me out of my shell. 3

Adoption Information

Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.)

TO ADOPT, ONE MUST Have current photo identification with your current address Be willing and able to spend the time & money needed to care for your cat Carefully read the terms of our Adoption Contract and agree to its terms. Agree that if they cannot keep the cat they have adopted from St. Sophia’s, they must return the cat to us Agree to allow an authorized representative of St. Sophia’s to make an adoption follow-up THE PROCESS Adopting should never be an impulse decision — pets are for life. We respectfully ask that you come fully prepared to take on the care of a cat prior to filling out an application. On average, owning a cat costs $40 a month (food/litter/health), which is $480 annually. Cats (especially kittens) take lots of time, dedication, and love to grow and develop into loving and healthy household pets. Because we at St. Sophia’s pride ourselves in knowing our cats, we want what’s best for them, and to ensure they are going to good homes we conduct reference checks (personal and veterinary) in addition to the basic application. Please expect the adoption process to take at least 24 hours, and when your adoption is finalized, you’ll need to bring a carrier to take your new pet home in.
