Reba's Story

Spayed Female
4 Years Old
16 Pounds
$40

Reba is a beautiful 4-year-old grey domestic shorthair with a gentle, loving personality. This sweet, spayed girl adores attention and will happily soak up all the pets you can give—her loud, happy purr says it all. She’s friendly, curious, and enjoys exploring her surroundings.

Reba shows a little interest in play, but she’d much rather be your close companion. She prefers to stay near you, rubbing up for affection and keeping you company. While she tolerates being held, she’s happiest with her paws on the ground, interacting on her own terms.

She does need to lose some weight and will benefit from a family committed to helping her stay healthy. Ironically, she’s so people-focused that she’ll often ignore her food in favor of cuddles and attention!

Reba has had some past litter box quirks (occasionally choosing the bathtub), which may have been due to her setup or preferences. With the right environment—or possibly safe indoor/outdoor access—she’s likely to do well.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and people-loving companion, Reba could be the perfect match.

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.

Want to Know if I’m Still Available?
Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability. If you’d like to show you’re thinking about adopting, please fill out an application on our website under "Adopt" at www.hsomc.org.

Open Adoption Hours:

Tuesday & Wednesday: Noon – 6 pm

Thursday & Friday: Noon – 7 pm

Saturday: Noon – 4 pm

I’m located at the Humane Society of Midland County, 4371 E Ashman St, Midland, MI 48642.

We can’t wait to meet you and help you find your new best friend!
