Reba's Story

Meet Reba, The Little Lady in the Masquerade Mask Every now and then, a kitten comes along who looks ready for a grand entrance and Reba is one of them! This adorable tuxedo kitten has a striking black mask across her face that makes it look as though she's dressed for an elegant masquerade ball. All she needs now is a forever family to dance through life with. She was brought to us by a Good Samaritan. Reba came to ARF at the start of June with her mother, Dolly, and her siblings: Shania, Luke, Kenny, and Garth. We have to admit that it's quite the country music lineup! While Reba doesn't need to be adopted with one of her siblings, we always like to let adopters know when littermates arrive together in case someone is hoping to keep part of the family together. After arriving at the shelter, Reba spent a short time in one of our loving foster homes, where she was gently handled and socialized. Soon after, she needed to return to ARF so our medical team could provide her with some extra TLC. Reba was treated for an aggressive virus that required close monitoring and supportive care. Thanks to the dedication of our veterinary team and plenty of love, she's feeling so much better and has officially been given the green light to begin searching for her forever home! Now that she's healthy again, Reba is ready to enjoy everything kittenhood has to offer. Her new family can look forward to playful zoomies, toy-chasing adventures, curious explorations, climbing, pouncing, and those irresistible kitten naps that seem to happen in the funniest places. Kittens thrive with interactive play, nutritious food, routine veterinary care, scratching posts, and plenty of love as they grow into happy, confident adult cats. Reba has already overcome more than most kittens her age and she's done it with resilience worthy of a star. Now she's ready for her encore: a lifetime of love with a family who will cherish her for the wonderful kitten she is. If you've been waiting for a kitten who's dressed to impress and ready to steal the show, come meet Reba. Behind that adorable masquerade mask is a heart that's ready to belong to you. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. Adopting an animal is an important decision that will affect you, your household, and the animal for many years to come. Our primary goal is to place animals in a loving and forever home. We strive for the best possible match between you and your new pet. If you do not find the right animal on your first visit to our shelter, please return another day when new animals will be available for adoption. We include as much information as we know about an animal on their information card. We are here to help make a wonderful new addition to your family. Adoption Requirements • Must be 18 years of age or older (seniors 65 and over qualify for the Seniors for Seniors program) • Must have valid ID with current address • Must provide landlord’s name and phone number (or copy of current lease) • All members of the household should be present • You must understand that Berea Animal Rescue must approve your adoption application If this is your first visit, please follow this link, bit.ly/ARFWaiver, to provide us with your household’s information and sign our Animal Contact Waiver. Fees The shelter accepts cash or Mastercard, Visa, or Discover. *If paying in cash, please understand that volunteers are unable to make change.
