Raven’s FAQs

What is Fur-Gotten Tails Animal Rescue’s adoption process?

*All cats listed online are considered available, however, there may be other applications in for them/pending meet and greets/have special adoption requirements/etc. *We do out of state adoptions, within reason. (Note: We do not have any public phone number at this time). *Adoption donation fees range from $100-$350. All adoptable pets receive full vet checks and include fiv/felv testing, spay/neuter at earliest 6 months of age, purevax rabies vaccine (if healthy), are flea checked and dewormed. *Note: We do not have a vaccine or flea/tick prevention requirement to adopt. Adoption Process: Step #1) Submit application for adoption at the following link: https://forms.gle/4SPPziT3E6yXJcY6A. Please answer ALL questions thoroughly. We take our application very seriously. Missing/incomplete/1 word responses will not be processed. If your application was successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. Step #2) If we feel we have a potential match, we will contact you via email as soon as we can to discuss further details. (Note: If you do not hear from us within 14-21 days, we do not feel we have a potential match for your home at this time. We do not deny applicants/provide status updates/etc., as we have minimal volunteers. Please do not bombard us with emails asking for updates). Step #3) We will verify your vet and personal references. Please be patient. A phone interview may also occur during this time. As of 1/1/24, we will be conducting vet checks by email instead of verbally. Please contact your vet asasp and let them know we will be emailing them for a record review. Step #4) We will contact you for a meet and greet at a foster home. Remaining adoption procedures will be discussed during this time. A home visit will be performed on the day of adoption. *Thank you for your understanding during this time! No exceptions to our policies will be made, unless otherwise discussed.
