We're gonna give it to you straight: Raphael is stressed out here in the shelter, and sometimes that stress causes him to lash out on innocent hands. We know he's sweet when someone gives him the time of day - we've gotten him to eat Churu from us & hold him & give him a few kisses - but he doesn't show well here and probably never well. He needs someone who will take a chance on him, give him that patience and quiet he so desperately needs, because he will make it worth your while and be a companion for life.<br/>As you may have surmised, he doesn't like loud noises or fast movements, so we recommend no small kids, but older kids who can respect his boundaries should be okay. For the same reason, we'd also recommend no dogs. He has co-housed with other feline shelter residents and done fine, so he should do okay in a multi-cat household.<br/>If you're willing to be Raphael's person, give him his well-deserved chance, please stop by the shelter with all human family members.
