Ralphie's Story

Ralphie has the best goatee in town. We imagine he strokes his fuzzy chin while he is in deep thought, perhaps when deciding on the best place to nap. He is a pretty chill guy, and because of his upbringing, he prefers humans to sit next to him and get to know him slowly.

Ralphie is about 10 years old and spends most of his time lounging on the shelves out on the catio. He is a bird enthusiast and always tilts his head to the side when one flies by. Ralphie is very curious and enjoys the kind of toys he can chase. Rattle mice and plastic balls with bells are at the top. He will never turn down a crinkly kicker, though.

He has a very sophisticated appearance, and our volunteers love how his green eyes perk up whenever he sees another cat. Ralphie would do best in a multi-cat household, especially if there are many windows to look out of.

Stop by to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our cats. We do not adopt first come; we always select the best placement for our animals. Please call your veterinarian to permit them to speak with us for our vet check. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you are allowed to have a cat.

Our adoption fee is $50 for cats. This includes FIV/FeLV testing, flea/tick preventatives, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines, and spay/neuter if six months or older. If they are too young, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.

For more info on our shelter and available pets, check us out online:

West Milford Animal Shelter Society
Lycosky Drive, West Milford, NJ 07480
(973) 728-2859

Visiting Hours
Mon - Fri: 10 - 1
Wed Night: 7:30 - 9
Weekends: 10 - 3
