Rajah's Story

Meet Rajah

Rajah is an estimated 4 year old male cat who recently transitioned from outdoor life to the comfort of a home, and he has settled in beautifully. For about a year, Rajah has lived outside and is believed to have been abandoned. During that time, he endured a lot - suffering injuries from the attacks of an aggressive neighborhood tomcat, and even evidence (found by a vet) of being shot with a BB gun. Despite his past, Rajah's spirit remains incredibly gentle and trusting.

While outdoors, Rajah fathered a litter of four kittens (all girls!) - all of them have since found wonderful homes through Feral Feline Project. His gentle nature stood out as the mother cat trusted him enough to let him eat alongside her kittens and play with them.

Since coming indoors, Rajah has settled in like he's always belonged. He's calm, affectionate and loves being around people. He enjoys pets, cuddles and will happily "talk" to you. He also loves other cats. He is constantly trying to groom his foster siblings or get them to play. He really just wants companionship.

Right now he is physically healing and learning that he doesn't have to worry about where his next meal is coming from and he is ready to leave his tough past behind to become a cherished member of a loving family. He would thrive in a home where he has other feline friends or a lot of attention and affection.

If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion with a big heart, Rajah is your boy.

Rajah is FIV+, but don’t let that hold you back! FIV isn’t contagious to humans or other animals, and can only be passed between cats through deep bite wounds. Rajah loves other cats and our thinking is that he was infected when attacked by the dominant bully neighborhood cat. He can live a long and healthy life even with FIV. Rajah has to have another cat or kitten in his forever home. He is very affectionate and fatherly. He can't be an only cat.

Rajah is neutered. He has his microchip, rabies vax and all other shots up to date. He is being fostered in a home with a family and other resident adult cats.

If you would like to meet Rajah, please go to our website and fill out an adoption application. www.feralfelineproject.org
