Raisin's Story

Raisin is a sweet, affectionate boy who truly blossomed in his foster home, showing just how loving and gentle he can be once he feels comfortable. He enjoys spending his time batting around feather toys, curling up in soft blankets, and leaning in for plenty of cheek rubs.

He also enjoyed being part of family life in his foster home, happily spending time with the kids and following his people from room to room. When it's time to relax, Raisin is all about finding the coziest spot he can and settling in for a good nap. Along the way, he discovered the joy of Amazon boxes, mastered the art of lounging, and even developed the cutest little snore that makes him even more endearing.

Now back at the shelter, Raisin is ready for his next chapter and hoping to find a forever family who will appreciate his affectionate, easygoing nature and all the love he has to give.

Nashville Humane Association's Adoption Policy
The adoption process at NHA is friendly, educational and rewarding! Animals come to us looking for a forever home, and we make certain to give them their best shot. All animals in our Adoption Program, while at NHA, receive spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and veterinary treatment. And of course, lots of love! Adoption Requirements: •Be 18 years of age or older •A picture I.D. showing your present address •The knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable) •Ability to spend time/money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for a pet. IMPORTANT: The Nashville Humane Association reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone. No animal will be adopted to prospective owners who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the application. Fill out an adoption survey at the shelter. This will begin the adoption process and allow our team to help you find your match! A member of our Pet Services team will discuss your survey with you and answer any questions. Once you’ve talked with our team to go over information and had time to meet with your future pet, you’ll review and sign our adoption contract and complete payment of the adoption fee. And then it’s time to head home with your new best friend!
