Rain's Story

Meet Rain!

Rain is affectionate, quirky, and SO courageous. He’s estimated to be is around 2 years old. This sweet and petite boy had one of the hardest lives prior to being rescued and fostered. He came from a home that had 20 cats in a small apartment. He received very little affection or attention and was bullied by other cats in the home and so spent most of his time hiding in a dresser drawer. He was horribly matted upon being rescued and had an untreated wound in his hindquarters. But despite having a rough beginning, he is not letting that define him! He has blossomed so much in such a short period of time. He is a curious boy who is interested in and very polite around my two cats. He loves receiving pets and will pancake on the ground to rub his cheek into your hand. He is always happy to see you when you come home and will let you know by rubbing against you and his surroundings. He needs to feel secure that no animal will steal his food as he defaults to being submissive in that situation. He needs company from humans and another friendly cat, but no more than 2 as he came from a hoarding house and that may be overwhelming. I could see him thriving in a home where someone works from home or is retired as he values company even if he is just sleeping or watching you.
