Rafter's Story

Rafter has had a rough start to life, but we are determined to turn that around! Don't let his lazy eye scare you away, he can't help it! He was rescued from a collapsed building along with many other cats. He arrived here with a buddy who could possibly be his brother. The two are a source of comfort and security for one another and can often be found snuggled up.

Rafter is a shy and sensitive cat who will need a patient, understanding family willing to let him adjust at his own pace. A quiet environment, predictable routine, and gentle interactions will be important as he begins to come out of his shell. He will need someone willing to look beyond the fear and see the cat underneath it who wants to feel loved. He is waiting for the right person to give him the patience and quiet security he deserves, and if he can continue that journey with his brother, that would be even better.
