Quintin's Story

Sometimes the most loving hearts come wrapped in the most unexpected packages. Meet Quintin, an 8-year-old gentleman who finds himself searching for a new home after the heartbreaking death of his beloved owner.

What makes Quintin special isn't just his soft fur or his soulful eyes. It's the way he melts into your arms when you pick him up, trusting completely. After such a tragic loss, many cats shut down, but not Quintin! He seeks out warmth and companionship, pressing close for those long snuggle sessions that make everything feel right in the world again.

When Quintin first arrived at his foster home, he could have been scared or withdrawn. Instead, he did something we do not often see. He settled in almost immediately, as if to say, "I'm ready to love again." He ate his dinner with gusto that first evening, explored his new space with gentle curiosity, and quickly reminded everyone around him that his capacity and need for affection has not dimmed one bit.

This sweet boy has so much love still to give. He's patient, he's kind, and he understands the rhythm of a calm household. He probably would do best as a single cat. Quintin isn't looking for adventure or excitement. He's looking for what he knew before: a warm lap, gentle hands, and a person who appreciates the profound gift of a cat who simply wants to be near you.

Somewhere out there is someone who needs exactly what Quintin offers. A steady, loving presence. A furry companion who asks for little but gives everything. Could that someone be you?

If you'd like to meet Quintin and see if your hearts recognize each other, please reach out. He is waiting, patiently as always, for his next great love story to begin.

The Lucky Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a multi-step adoption process. While we try to process our adoptions as quickly as possible, our cats are very important to us, so we do our best to ensure they go to homes that will be the best possible fit for them. * Adoption application: we have a 1 page application, requesting landlord pet policy verification (if renting), personal references, and a veterinarian reference (if you currently have other pets) * Meet and greet: we ask that all members of the household meet the cat in person before adoption. This makes sure the cat is a good fit for everyone. * Home delivery: we will deliver the cat to you, and will help you get the cat settled in its new home! This also serves as a low-key "home check," so please be prepared to allow us inside the home. That will also make it more comfortable for all of us as we finish up the paperwork and walk you through your new cat's vet records! * Return policy: we will take any of our cats back at any time and for any reason. As part of our adoption contract, if you are ever no longer able to keep the cat, we expect the cat to be returned to us (please do not try to re-home them yourself). Due to our home deliveries and return policies, with rare exceptions we do not adopt to homes outside of New Jersey. Thank you for understanding.
