Quesadilla's Story

Meet Quesadilla, again — the perfectly toasted mix of sweet, spicy, and a little bit sassy

Quesadilla has a story, stick around, you'll like it. We posted her for adoption here before. But, this is her redemption post.

This past year, she sat at the rescue often overlooked as the environment seemed to have taken a toll on her. We thought, she must despise humans. She didn't want to be pet or loved. She liked her space. Would she be happier outside? The volunteer who brought Quesadilla and Chalupa in was already feeding outdoor cats, so maybe we could try that. We do TNR all the time, this seemed no different, she was just going back out to where she came from...

The moment she stepped out of the carrier was the very moment of regret. Quesadilla stopped, looked into the home at the indoor cats, looked at me, for what seemed like minutes, then quickly took off behind the house. Within the hour, I had a trap underneath the porch where my dog kindly showed Quesadilla's hiding spot. 2am as rain downpours, we are army crawling under the porch to get her into the warm house. Okay, that was the sad part, I could cry again just thinking how I basically tossed her out. It was worth a shot though, they all deserve a chance.

A few days of letting her decompress, we introduce you to - Queso (Queso Dip, Queso-Dilla, all of the fun nicknames). This tortoiseshell queen has a personality for days. We are in awe of what a change of scenery and lack of stress has done for her. She's the kind of cat who will follow you around like a tiny, judgmental shadow, then suddenly melt into a puddle of affection. Queso is curious, clever, and always wants to know what you're up to (yes, even in the bathroom... she supervises). She even likes both dogs and all of the cats in the home also!! Who would have thought she could be the total package now?

Adopt Quesadilla — life's better with a little extra flavor.

Fur All Kittys's Adoption Policy
Adopting a pet is more than just bringing home an animal. When you adopt, you add another member to your family. You take on another mouth to feed, another living thing to look after and care for, another responsibility. We just want to make sure that everyone in the home is prepared for this process. When you adopt from us, we will ensure that the initial care for the animal has been provided, with some exceptions. We will make the transition to your home as easy as possible. Follow up care, however, will be entirely your responsibility. Adoption fees vary, but you will be quoted an exact price prior to finalizing any decisions. The fee can vary just due to costs of spay/neuter and any medical care in addition to the basic care that is provided prior to adopting. You can pay through PayPal, Venmo, Square (fees added), or with cash. You may be required to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to ensure a home for the animal.
