To help Dora find her purrfect home, the Essex County Co-Op is generously sponsoring her adoption fee! <br/>Queen Dora is a beautiful 5-year-old girl looking for a special home. She needs a patient quiet home with very cat savvy kids 14+, and no other cats. She doesn’t seem to mind her foster mom's calm, small dogs that ignore her. Dora is in foster care and has started asking more frequently for pets and firmly rubbing her head against her foster’s hand. We believe Dora will eventually be an affectionate girl, but this could take many months. So, her family will need to be willing to give her lots of time to adjust and keep her in a small safety room with limited places to hide and spend time just hanging out with her to let her get used to her new place and start bonding with her family. Dora loves her cardboard scratcher (especially when there's catnip on it) and to play with her catnip mice and felt balls. She is also starting to enjoy interactive play with wand toys. She loves pate wet food and having her back petted a few times when she starts to eat.
