Quakes's Story

Quakes is the quintessential orange boy kitten. He's happy-go-lucky, obsessed with play, and can make anything become a toy. He's fairly independent, but will let you know when it's time to snuggle. He's completely undeterred by his unstable limbs, jumping, running, and zooming around, often causing loud thumps, but recovering quickly.

Quakes makes a seismic impression everywhere he goes, with so much charm it's off the charts on the Richter scale. He has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) aka Wobbly Cat Syndrome, and the shakiest tail we've seen. He does not let this stop him from normal orange boy one-brain-cell kitten behavior. As he grows into his strength, he's starting to be able to jump with more steadiness and accomplish new feats, like getting into the bathtub by himself with his sparkle ball toy.
He can entertain himself easily with springs, crinkle toys, sparkle balls, bouncy balls, and fuzzy mice that rattle. He watches birds like it's his job, quietly quaking as he observes without detection.

Quakes would do well in a home that allows for him to accessibly explore. He can jump on and off a low sofa, but needs stairs to get onto and off of a bed. If he isn't given an option for getting down, he will jump, and his landings are less than elegant, and could easily result in injury.

His little legs spread apart like a baby deer on skis if he doesn't have grip. He doesn't need wall to wall carpet, but he needs rugs to make sure he can get around, and to soften the blow when he bounds down the hallway thinking he's an Olympic hurdler.

Tested, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and awesome

All cats and kittens are rescued from the streets, abandoned, or pulled from at-risk list at city shelter. All are vaccinated, tested for FIV and FELV, dewormed, and spayed/neutered (if old enough). If the kitten is not old enough to be spayed/neutered we will do so at a later date, post-adoption. All adoptions require an application and donation.

If interested in meeting and possibly adopting our cat or kitten please complete an adoption application (link below)

https://forms.monday.com/forms/c830a6d39f0904bdae7ab35a28e51db6?r=use1
