Meet Purriana Grande, the Grande Dame of Cats! <br/><br/>At 11 years old and a fabulous 20 pounds, Purriana Grande is living proof that sometimes more is more. This gorgeous dilute calico has a tiny little face, a very big personality, and an even bigger heart. <br/><br/>Purriana was surrendered to a local shelter when her previous person was no longer able to care for her. Now she's looking for a loving forever home where she can enjoy her golden years while working toward a healthier weight.<br/><br/>Purriana is currently on a weight-loss journey, and her new family will need to be committed to keeping her on her weight-loss plan. Her extra weight is already making some things harder for her, including grooming, and we've noticed some joint discomfort and noisy breathing. She recently had X-rays, which showed that her lungs are clear, so the breathing sounds are believed to be related to her weight. As she sheds those extra pounds, we hope she'll become more comfortable, mobile, and able to take care of her own grooming again.<br/><br/>Because she currently has trouble grooming herself, Purriana recently got a much-needed spa day and is all cleaned up and ready to start her next chapter. She enjoys being brushed, and she may need occasional professional grooming while she's working toward her goal weight. Think of it as maintaining her Grande Dame status. <br/><br/>But don't let her size fool you into thinking she's a diva. Purriana is sweet, friendly, social, and incredibly easygoing. She enjoys being around people and has a gentle demeanor that makes her a wonderful companion. She's also good with cats, dogs, and kids, making her a remarkably adaptable girl.<br/><br/>At 11, Purriana is past the kitten chaos and ready for the good life: cozy spots, loving people, regular meals, plenty of attention, and perhaps a nice brush session to keep her feeling fabulous.<br/><br/>She's already had a pretty big life change.
