Punkin's Story
Punkin is a domestic short haired, orange tabby, neutered male cat with an estimated date of birth of late September 2021. Punkin was live trapped from a managed cat colony in the Detroit Lakes, MN area in late fall 2021 before the brutal upper Midwest winter and snowstorms. Punkin is a likely half sibling or first cousin to fellow colony mates Nutella and Zoey. This group of cats are affectionately referred to as the "colony tabbies", and Punkin can easily be adopted with either of these colony mates if looking to adopt a pair of adult cats. Punkin is best suited in a household with another cat companion.

Punkin is wary of new people so an adopter will need patience and understanding during the transition to a new home. He is friendly and affectionate on his terms and his timetable. Punkin is very treat and food motivated, especially with canned pate' and lickable tube treats like Churus or Delectables, and that is one way to win his heart with his favorite treats. Punkin doesn't show well for meet and greets as he is the first cat to go run and hide under furniture if new people enter the foster home.

Neutered; current on vaccinations; litter box trained; microchipped; and negative for both feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. Unknown with dogs or children.
