Pumpernickel's Story
Pumpernickel is a bite-sized little baby, approximately 2 years old, and shes just perfect! She was born outside of a hotel with her littermate and, at first, she wasnt showing any signs of being friendly. Because of that, she was sent to the spay clinic as a TNR.
While recovering from her spay, something wonderful happened. Pumpernickel showed that she was actually very appreciative to be indoors and began responding to human interaction. I decided to keep her inside and work on socializing her.
When Pumpernickel first discovered what it felt like to be touched, talked to, and held, it was almost as if she had won the lottery! Even to this day, she gets so excited when I approach her to pet her or pick her up and hold her like a baby. Shell jump right up and wiggle her little body in rhythm with my pets, soaking up every bit of affection.
Her favorite thing to do is sit in the window and look outside. Shes still a little shy and wont necessarily approach me on her own, but shell get close and stare at me, as if shes saying, Im here! Honestly... can she get any cuter?!
Pumpernickel is such a special little girl who has come so far. Watching her discover the joy of being loved has been incredibly rewarding, and she would make a wonderful addition to the right forever home
