If you sit down, there is a very good chance Puff will be joining you. Morning coffee is especially her thing — you have the coffee, shell take the lap and the love. <br/><br/>She is affectionate, loyal, social, talkative, and very connected to her people. She also does well with other cats, as long as they're nice to her. Puff is not interested in drama. She just wants a peaceful home, kind friends, and humans who understand that laps are obviously for cats.<br/><br/>And then there is that coat.<br/><br/>Puff has a gorgeous, thick, cottony coat that needs daily brushing because it mats easily. When she gets too tangled, she occasionally gets the full princess treatment and sports a lion cut. Somehow she manages to be ridiculously adorable both ways — fluffy Puff or freshly groomed tiny lion Puff. <br/><br/>Her story hasn't been an easy one.<br/><br/>Puff first came to us abandoned and pregnant, barely more than a kitten herself. She raised her babies, dealt with medical issues, recovered, blossomed, and eventually found what we thought would be her forever home.<br/><br/>Then she came back.<br/><br/>Through no fault of her own, Puff was returned severely overweight, confused, and carrying a diagnosis that our veterinarian has not been able to find evidence to support. She runs. She jumps. She gets around just fine.<br/><br/>What she does need is one inexpensive anxiety medication once a day. Its easy, its cheap, and it works beautifully.<br/><br/>On her medication and in a loving, stable environment, Puff shows essentially no signs of anxiety at all. She is simply Puff — affectionate, happy, loving, and ready to climb into your lap.<br/><br/>She has been through abandonment.<br/>She raised babies.<br/>She worked through medical problems.<br/>She was adopted.<br/>She was returned.<br/>She adjusted all over again.<br/><br/>And somehow, after all of that, she still trusts people.<br/><br/>Puff doesn't need someone to rescue her from herself.
