Pudgy was born into a large outdoor colony. In his time in foster he has been learning to trust and love humans. Pudgy has a gentle, sweet and calm demeanour. He loves to spend his time in cat towers or on windowsills and loves to be pet in these spaces where he feels safe. He loves scratches on his chin and cheeks. <br/><br/>With the right consistency and care Pudgy will flourish - he has started coming up to his foster parents for pets, and loves to give them kisses to show his affection. He will be happy in a home with another cat especially if its a sister he can play with. In his time in foster hes taken a liking to the other female fosters and its really helped him build his confidence! Action Volunteers for Animals - Durham Region's Adoption Policy
All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens. AVA does not adopt out of province or out of country. Adopters should live within a one-hour radius of our locations in the Greater Toronto Horseshoe Area (GTHA). Due to the overwhelming volume of applications we are receiving, a response to short-listed applicants may be delayed. While we endeavour to contact short-listed applicants within 48 hours, a response may take up to a week. Adoption Fees Standard adoption fees for cats and kittens include vetting, spay/neuter, two dewormings, microchip, and initial vaccine at the time of adoption (FVRCP and rabies if age-appropriate). Additional fees may apply for cats who have had, or are due for, vaccine boosters prior to adoption. Testing for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) or Feline Leukemia (FeLV) is is not included unless specifically indicated, as testing is not standard practice. Adult over 1 year: $250 (with initial vaccine) Adult over 1 year: $325 (with second/booster vaccine at $75) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $275 (with initial vaccine) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $350 (with booster vaccine at $75) Seniors (10+ years) and special needs: $200 Special breeds: Starting at $250 – a $75 fee may be applied for special breeds who have had a booster administered prior to adoption.
