Provolone's Story
Hi… I’m Provolone!
I know what you’re thinking… with a name like Provolone, shouldn’t I be orange? Surprise. I’m actually a very handsome black and white tuxedo gentleman. Fancy, right?

Before becoming a Furball, life was scary. My colony mates and I survived underneath an abandoned mobile home, trying our best to stay safe and out of sight. Humans were not something I trusted. When I first came here, I was very afraid.

The people at the sanctuary didn’t give up on me though. It took lots of patience, love, time, snacks, and many many meals before I finally decided maybe humans weren’t so bad after all.

Because of that, my future family needs to understand something important about me… I will probably hide at first. I may need time to feel safe and learn to trust you. But I promise I am worth the wait.

Once I open up, you’ll discover I’m actually a very sweet boy. These days I love approaching visitors during visiting hours asking for attention… and sometimes I even become a little attention hog. I especially enjoy belly rubs now, which honestly would have shocked the old me.

I’m also extremely motivated by lickable treats. If I see visitors walking around with spoons, I come running because I KNOW snack time has arrived. I love sunbathing, catnip, and wrestling around with my cat friends. Catnip toys are some of my absolute favorites.

I adore other cats and would do best in a home with feline friends to help me feel comfortable and confident. Oh… and I recently had a dental, so my teeth are sparkling nice and clean.

If you’re patient, understanding, and willing to let me bloom at my own pace, I think I could become your best friend.

You can meet me daily from 1–5pm. I’ll probably be the tuxedo cat looking for treats.

My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Provolone, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.
