Prometheus 's Story

With a name as mighty as Prometheus, I certainly have some big shoes to fill (and I think I'm doing a pretty good job of it if I do say so myself).

I came to H4PHS sickly and scratched up, unsure of what to make of my new caretakers. I hadn't had the best experiences with people and was not quick to extend an offer of friendship to the shelter staff. They provided me with a carrier inside my cage where I could retreat to if I was feeling overwhelmed. I spent most of my early days at the shelter scrunched up in the back, scowling at the cat attendants who dared to clean my cage. Fast forward to today and I am rubbing against the cage door to greet my new friends and tossing around my stuffed mouse toy.

For an older cat of nearly eleven years old, I still know how to act like a silly young guy. Mom told me I looked ridiculous during our photoshoot with a head full of litter from romping around and playing. While I don't appreciate extended periods of snuggling and affection, I still enjoy receiving some good scratches and head pets. You see I'm the perfect balance of sour and sweet like everyone's favorite candy! No pets deserve to live in a shelter, but especially not senior animals. Please consider giving my senior pals and I the second chances we deserve. Adopt, don't shop!
