Private Ryan's Story

One of our volunteers brought us a little tabby kitten with bent front paws. We took him without hesitation. This intake really was about Saving Private Ryan, the little guy who got around just fine - but had to do so by crawling. We immediately had him assessed by our partnering vet & discovered that the issue with his front paws was congenital and he’d been born without radial bones. Medically, there was nothing to be done for his crooked legs and that he was otherwise a very healthy and happy kitten. He’s affectionate, lively, loving and determined not to let anything stop him from having a great life. He gets around just fine and everyone that meets him falls in love with him. Animal Nation is committed to helping animals whenever we can as long as it’s possible for them to live their best life. Saving Private Ryan is a great example to show what we’re about. He’s going to live a good life and bring joy to his adoptive family and we couldn’t ask for more than that. We gave him a chance.
