Princess Donut's Story
Princess Donut recently returned from a Foster Home, here are a few words from her foster:

"NEW ACHIEVEMENT! You have achieved the NO MORE KITTENS goal!

Princess Donut is so excited to begin her childfree era! Donut, or Princess, she isn't picky, came to NAS from MADACC with four freshly born baby beans, and needed a safe place to raise them. She has greatly enjoyed her stay, but is ready for them to begin their own lives now!
Donut is a tortoiseshell, and does have a low level of spice, meaning she may not be the right fit for the first time cat owner. Donut is very friendly, but like a lot of cats, can sometimes be overstimulated, and may put her mouth on you. (She does not bite - think how a dog may mouth you during play) Learning her body language has helped to decrease this immensely!
So take a few minutes to get to know this beautiful little young cat, she is full of purrs and head butts!
She is weaning off kitten food as she weans her babies, but does enjoy wet food & crunchy food. She also greatly enjoys lickable treats (handy for when she has to have medicine!). She was not introduced to other cats or dogs in her foster home. She had no problem with the litterbox, and used the variety of scratchers available to her. Puff ball type toys were her favorite!"

Please note:
- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.
-Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html)
- Our shelter has open visiting hours for cats, however a pre-approved application is needed prior to an adoption. Appointments may be scheduled with an approved application as well, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate same day adoptions.
- Approved applications are required prior to meeting our dogs in foster homes. Please contact the shelter to discuss meeting dogs prior to arrival.
