Prince's Story

Meet the Prince of Astoria! 👑

Prince is a 5-year-old royal who is looking for a dedicated "servant" to join his court. Don’t let his age fool you—once this boy is in the mood, he is incredibly playful and treats his favorite humans like his very own cat playmates.
Like many high-ranking royals, Prince has a big personality. He is a "love-talker" who will clearly show you how much he adores you, but he also isn't afraid to assert his boundaries. Because he’s a complex guy, he needs an experienced adopter who understands feline body language. Underneath that regal exterior, he truly is the sweetest, chillest little guy you’ll ever meet.

A Day in the Life of the Prince:

The Royal Tour: He loves to follow his favorite person from room to room. He will bunny-kick a toy like there’s no tomorrow!

Leisure: When he isn't patrolling, he’s a total couch potato who loves watching "Cat TV" (birds and squirrels) or lounging near you for a nap.

The Throne: Prince requires a cardboard box "throne" to sit on and, occasionally, ceremoniously destroy.

To ensure he remains the center of attention, Prince is looking for a kingdom where he can be the only cat.

Prince’s Vitals:
Age: 5 years old
Vibe: Playful, loyal, and spirited
Requirement: Experienced owner; solo cat home
Favorite Hobby: Demolishing cardboard castles and bunny-kicking toys

Are you ready to serve the Prince of Astoria? Potential adopters complete an online application. All applications are then reviewed and potential candidates are contacted for a phone interview/conversation to ask/answer questions, determine if the cat is a good match for their home/family, and then discuss next steps. If both sides want to move forward, we ask for a video tour of the home and also any relevant medical records for their resident cat. Additional conversations often follow - suggestions for addressing potential hazards in the home (e.g. poisonous plant). If everything checks out with those two items, the adoption is approved and adopter is given information on supplies to purchase.
