PRECIOUS's Story

My family moved and abandoned me at the apartment. The ACO came to bring me to the shelter. I was confused, scared and worried. The sounds and smells of the shelter made it difficult for me to feel safe. I have slowly adjusted. Staff want me to find a forever family. I am ready to move on and to leave this cage for a better life. I am estimated to be 2 years old. Staff do not have background history on me, being the only pet in the home will be best for me. Taunton Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

**PLEASE CALL AHEAD FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET PETS AT THE SHELTER. 508-822-1463** Adopt a "best friend" for life! Please remember that dogs and cats of all ages need and deserve happiness, love, and a home. In return, they will love you unconditionally for all of your years together. We adopt to New England Residents only and require current/past veterinarian references. An application is REQUIRED to adopt an animal. Vet references will be checked, as well as references for those who rent. Adoption of an animal will be based on APPROVED applications only. We do not accept debit/credit cards. Payment must be check or money order with proper ID or cash. If submitting an application for a dog, please email it to rdanielczyk@taunton-ma.gov or gasman6637@icloud.com Dogs are $200.00 and cats are $165.00 (kittens up to 6 months are $185.00). This price includes the spay/neuter, rabies shot, and other required vaccinations.
