Poppy/Petra's Story
Petra & Poppy are a pair of gorgeous black sisters with a story that could have ended very differently.

When they were tiny kittens, a call came in about a friendly black mama cat and her two kittens living outdoors on a property that was about to be demolished. The tree they called home was scheduled to be torn down the very next day, leaving the kittens with nowhere to go.

Their mama was friendly enough to quickly find rescue, but Petra and Poppy were frightened little feral kittens who needed someone willing to invest time, patience, and love. Their foster did exactly that—and it paid off beautifully.

Today, these sisters are affectionate, gentle young cats who absolutely adore the person they trust. They love being kissed, cuddled, and held, and they're happiest spending their days playing together, grooming one another, and curling up for naps side by side. They'll be one year old in August and have grown into healthy, beautiful companions.

Like many cats who didn't have the easiest start in life, Petra and Poppy may take a few days to settle into a new home. Once they feel safe, their sweet personalities shine, and they become devoted, loving companions.

Their bond is extraordinary. They've never known life without each other, and they find comfort, confidence, and happiness together. Because of this, they are looking for a home where they can stay together forever.

If you've been thinking about adopting two cats, this wonderful pair makes it easy. They'll entertain each other, comfort each other, and fill your home with twice the purrs, twice the love, and twice the joy.

All they're missing is a family willing to give two deserving sisters the happy ending they've been waiting for.

If you're interested in learning more about these two, reach out to us at adoptions@citycritters.org

Courtesy Post: This cat is not in the custody or care of City Critters. We are posting the cat as a courtesy for an independent rescuer and will gladly forward your inquiry.
