Poppy's Story

Poppy is a confident, curious, playful tortoiseshell Domestic Medium hair kitten. She’s been friendly since her visit to the clinic that she was spayed at. She was trapped as a feral in Big Bar and clinic staff soon realized this little kitten wasn’t feral at all. She was spayed and ear tipped before her transition into foster hood but that hasn’t diminished how lovable and adorable she is. She has been loving being in a foster home since her spay. She will confidently stand her ground against a 65 pound dog, and will hiss or bop him if he gets closer than she’s comfortable with. Sometimes she will walk and rub between his legs when she’s feeling it. She tries to get my 2 older cats (male and female) to play but understands they have boundaries too. She’s basically crate trained. She walks in her crate when it’s time to leave the clinic and sleeps in one during the night. She’s litter trained. She gets to hangout at the clinic daily and is comfortable during the car rides. She still suckles and makes biscuits on any soft plush blanket or stuffed toy. She will ask for attention and quickly starts purring when held or petted. She’s curious about the outside but not driven to be out there. She was comfortable with a surgery suit during her spay recovery and is comfortable in a harness. She’s food motivated which helps with nail trims, she doesn’t fight it to start with though. She will play with any toy and will want to explore the entire home.

Poppy has been spayed, tested, deflead, dewormed, microchipped and had her first kitten shots.

An application, safety home check or vet reference, landlord approval if renting, and adoption donation are required. Discount to seniors military/veterans with proof of disability or adoption of multiples.

Indoor only home.
