Poppy's Story

Poppy was found in the parking lot at the GE Industrial Park, which is an unusual place for a cat to roam. We assume she was dumped there to give her a better visibility to be found. The person who contacted the shelter was worried she would get run over since she was hiding among the cars. Poppy was extremely chatty and always hungry the first few weeks she was in quarantine. This girl had a lot to tell us! If only we could speak her language, I’m sure she has an adventure to tell! Now Poppy is in a free range room, learning to get along with other cats. She’s been very brave and is exploring on her own terms. Please consider making an appointment to see if Poppy would be the right fit for your household. HEARTT Animal Refuge's Adoption Policy

All adoptions are by appointment only. We have two locations, Sharonville and Bridgetown, so please clarify who you would like to meet so we can set up the appointment at the correct location. Our adoption fee for both dogs and cats is $100 per animal. We have a policy to only adopt to individuals age 21 or older. Additionally, we only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter. All animals are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We also give flea and dewormer treatments. Dogs are tested for Heartworm and cats are quarantined for 8 weeks prior to FIV/FeLV testing. Consider a "Senior" pet.....they really need love and a home to call their own in their senior years. We have a few beautiful kittens and many adult cats that are looking for you.
