Poppy's Story
Poppy is about 1 1/2 years old and is a very sweet but shy girl who needs an understanding home. She was originally TNRd a year ago, but in that time rescuers decided she wasn't really feral so was rerescued and has learned how to be an indoor kitty from her foster siblings.

Poppy is VERY food motivated and comes running when it is time for her wet food and absolutely loves treats - she comes running when she hears the treat bag shake - she will bulldoze right past anyone in her way to be first in line for treats. She has learned how to play and will actually chase a tennis ball like a little puppy dog, loves the laser pointer, and she also loves to watch TV with you.

She is a petite little girl but doesn't let anyone take advantage of that fact! When one of the other kitties starts to play too rough, she knows how to put them in their place. She definitely would do well in a home with other kitties but she might also thrive in a home where she is the only little spoiled princess. It will take her a little bit of time to come out of her shell in her furever home, but once she does you will see how big of a love bug she really is. She has a little quirk where she completely submerges her left paw while she drinks out of the water bowl, so she needs a stable water bowl or fountain - lol. Poppy currently does not like to be picked up and she will let you know when she wants to be petted. She likes to be brushed and is a professional biscuit maker. She loves to lie on the back of the couch on top of a fleece throw. Poppy is an adorable little kitty with a pink nose and pink toe beans! Some of the nicknames she responds to include Popples and Poppi-kins.

She has no known experience with dogs or children.
