Poppy's Story

Meet Poppy!
Poppy is a petite black beauty with a short tail and the sweetest personality. She might be a little shy the first day or two in a new place, but give her some quiet time to settle in and she starts to blossom fast.

She has the cutest little growl when she's nervous, but don't let it fool you, it's not attitude. It's just Poppy's own way of talking when she's in a new place or hears a new noise she's unsure of.

Poppy spent her time as a devoted, loving mom, and now it's finally her turn to just be a cat and be adored for herself. She got along beautifully with her sibling Honeysuckle, but she made it clear at her foster home that she's not really a fan of other cats. Poppy seems to prefer the role of queen of the castle, so she'd likely be happiest as the only feline in her new home, getting all the love and attention to herself.

Once she's comfortable, Poppy turns into a total lap cat. She loves curling up in your lap, kneading away and making biscuits like it's her full time job. If you work from home or spend a lot of time at your computer, she will happily nap in your lap all day long.

All RCCR kitties are started on vaccines, microchipped, fixed, and de-wormed. We recommend adopting kittens in pairs-they learn, play, and grow best with a buddy! Plus, we offer a discounted adoption fee: $125 for one or $200 for a pair. Our volunteer team reviews each application, so please allow up to a week for a response. Thank you for your patience
