Meet Poppy! Poppy is a frisky ball of kitty energy. She is approximately 2 years old and loves to play with balls, wands or lasers for hours. Toys are a must or else she will play with your feet and hands. Once she gets to know you, Poppy likes to be pet, will tolerate being held and will want to sleep near you. She needs a patient, experienced adult home where she is the only cat. When she is bored or over stimulated, she will nip or swat – because of that she is not good with young children – she will scare them. Poppy typically does not break skin when she nips or swats but needs someone to work with her to discourage this behaviour, i.e. firmly but calmly saying ‘no’ and ignoring her (walking away, rather than rewarding her with attention). She will need a little time & patience to adjust to a new home but once she does, she will make a playful, loving companion. <br/><br/>Poppy has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FELV.
