Ponder's Story

Ponder is a beautiful boy, he is outgoing and sweet and wants nothing more than to be held and told how pretty his eyes are. He is affectionate and loves attention. He follows us from place to place when we are cleaning, he plops down in front of the broom to encourage us to bend over and pet him. <br/><br/>He can be a little mischievous, loves to hop on the exercise wheel and to take a little "stroll", he plays with toys and is an all around great guy! . <br/><br/>He can be a little dominant with other cats as he takes a little while to adjust. His brother is his favorite cat to hang out with and play, but he would be perfectly fine as an only cat and receive all of the love and attention for himself. His brother is just about the only cat that tolerates Ponders "play style" and will stand up to him if he gets to be "too much". <br/><br/>Adoption/Transport fee is $175. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We list them on Petfinder in the locations where we travel.<br/><br/>WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks.<br/>We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019.

Dixie Adoptables's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process: Our goal is to match the right pet with the right adopter. **Minimum adopter age is 23** 1. Once we receive the completed application, we will call your vet references, personal reference, and landlord (if applicable). 2. Once you get an approval, we will set up a time for a phone call and typically can offer a video call with the potential animal. 3. All adoptions will be finalized and fees collected prior to the transport of your new family member. Adoption fees will not be refunded if you simply change your mind. We only hold an animal for adoption once a deposit has been paid or the full adoption fee has been paid. 4. We will coordinate with you to transport your new pet to one of our many transport destinations if you are not a local adopter. **We reserve the right to refuse an adoption if we feel it is not a good fit.**
