Pollock

Meet Pollock! This super friendly lady came to us with 5 dogs and 4 other cats when her family became homeless. She is the nicest cat and gets along well with everyone. She is playful and loves string toys, and she’s very brave, and social. Because she’s an older girl and such a great cat, we let her free roam around the shelter and be our door greeter. If you’re looking for a shadow cat, she’s the one. She’s always following and hanging around one of us. Unfortunately Pollock has a malformed kidney from a birth defect or old injury, which eventually will lead to kidney failure. We’ve done 2 rounds of bloodwork 6 months apart and all her levels are normal and staying consistent. She is not on special food or any medication. A generous donor sponsored her adoption fee to ensure she gets a home. <br/><br/> Pollock is approximately 8 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date with her vaccinations & parasite preventatives and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. <br/>If you would like to meet our cats and kittens, we will be open to the public between 9-12 and 3-4 Monday through Friday, (weekends appointments available for approved applicants) for meet and greets. We still ask you to fill out an application prior to coming to speed up the process. If your application is approved, you will be able to adopt the same day! We do not adopt out of state, so NJ residents only please.
