Po (bonded to Monkey)'s Story

Introducing Po & Monkey, from our Kung Fu Panda litter. These two grew up in a family setting and came to us so that they could find amazing an forever home. They were born early July so have just turned 3 months old. Po & Monkey are a great pair and are looking for a home together.

Po is a precious little tuxedo kitty, named after Po from Kung Fu Panda. She is still in the clumsy and timid phase of warrior training. Po is a shy and gentle girl. It took her longer than her siblings to open up to her foster family and get comfortable in a new environment. She moves at her own pace and likes to take everything in before jumping in feet first. This is not to say that she doesn’t like to play. Po takes playtime to a whole other level, making it her mission to catch the mouse or defeat the pink fluffy thing on the end of a stick. Once you get her started it’s hard to get her to stop! She absolutely loves to play with her singings and will do anything to egg them on enough to play with her.

Po would be very timid without her brother, Monkey. He is her safe space and really helps her gain confidence. Po has warmed up to cuddling and will always feel left out if her siblings are getting snuggles without her. She will accept some gentle and slow pets and in her own time she'll cuddle up as close as she can to you. Po is a gentle, kind and strong kitten who is her best self when with her siblings. She needs a home where she can move at her own pace and when she tells you she’s ready gets all the love and play she needs to become the warrior she is.

Monkey is a sweet and courageous ginger kitty, named after Master Monkey from Kung Fu Panda. He is a silly, charming softie. Monkey a perfect yin yang with enough energy to fuel playtime for hours on end and the perfect amount of loving to give you cuddles until your legs fall asleep. Monkey is the rock for his sister Po. She is a timid girl and Monkey is always there to give her snuggles and guide her to the next adventure. Monkey will always be the first of his siblings to jump up and give you cuddles. He’s a love bug and needs a home that wants to give him as much love as he gives you.

Although Monkey is quite confident, Po is more timid and will do best in an adult home or wither older kids/teens that are quiet are respectful. Po wont enjoy a loud home or one with chaotic energy. She needs someone who can play and keep up with her in that way, but who has a gentle heart and serene vibe.

If you'd like to learn more about Po & Monkey, please inquire about adopting them. Victoria Pet Adoption Society's Adoption Policy
Adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and a big responsibility. Dogs can live 15 years or more, and cats can live 20+ years. Like people, each individual pet comes with its own set of baggage, needs, and personality traits. Because your new pet will depend on you to provide its basic needs, we need to be sure that you are educated and up to the challenge. Our adoption process allows us to ask you some questions about your home environment, your lifestyle, and your needs, expectations, and limitations. We want to be sure that your new pet is going to be just as happy in its new home as you are to have it there. A Successful Adoption Process Includes the Following Steps: To start the adoption process, please complete the online adoption application found at https://victoriapets.ca/adoption-process/. If our adoption team feels as though your home will be a great fit for one of our pets they will contact you to set up a visit supervised by the foster parent who can answer some of the questions you may have about the animal of interest. You will not be able to take the pet home the day of the visit. One of our volunteers will contact you after the visit and will open a dialogue with you based on the information provided in your application. We will talk about your home and family, as well as your experience with pets. We will ask you to tell us about the kind of life and care you can offer to the adopted pet, and we will inform you about any health or behavioural issues that you should be aware of. (For dogs only) Once an adoption is pending, we will come visit your home to ensure that the environment is suitable for the pet in question, based on its needs. We can advise you of modifications that could make the adoption more successful, such as fencing and other things you may not have thought about. The adoption process generally takes several days, and this time line is intentional. It allows you time to think about your decision so that you can be sure that you are comfortable with the decision that you’ve made. Adoptions are never approved within 48 hours of the application being submitted. Once we have successfully journeyed through the steps above, you can pick up your new friend to begin a wonderful life together! Signing an adoption contract is a requirement for every pet that is adopted. Adoption Fees are as Follows: Kittens (up to 12 months of age) $400 Adult Cats (1 yr - 8yrs) $300 Senior Cats (9 yrs and older) $250 Special Needs Cats (other than kittens) $250 Puppies (up to 12 months of age) $600 Adult Dogs (1 yr - 8yrs) $400 Senior Dogs (9 yrs and older) $300 Special Needs dogs (other than puppies) $300 Rabbits $50 Guinea Pigs $30 Rats/hamsters $20 Mice $10 Adoption fees for other species may vary
