Pluto's Story
Pluto is a sweet, affectionate boy with a gentle personality. He isn't shy, though he can be a little sensitive to sudden movements. He enjoys being pet and, with a bit of encouragement, will happily settle in for cuddles.

He gets along well with other cats and is currently living with a dog, whom he tolerates just fine. Pluto is very food-motivated and has quite the appetite-he'll happily finish his own meal and sneak a taste of others' if given the chance! Because of this, he'll do best in a home with scheduled feedings rather than free feeding.

Pluto is also a bit of a curious foodie-he loves investigating any food left out and may even hop into the sink to "help" with dishes. While he's enthusiastic, he's not especially crafty, so he's unlikely to get into too much trouble.

He appreciates a clean litter box setup and prefers having separate boxes for pee and poop. If things aren't quite up to his standards, he may poop (never pee) just beside the box, which can be easily managed with a few puppy pads nearby for easy clean up.

Overall, Pluto is a loving, charming companion who will thrive in a home that understands his quirks and appreciates his big personality.

Pluto has a heart murmur and has been diagnosed by a cardiologist with suspected mitral valve dysplasia, which means that he has obstructed blood flow in one of his heart valves. This condition is not causing him any symptoms and he does not require any medication. However, he will require regular monitoring with a cardiologist and may require medication in the future. The long-term prognosis for this condition is highly variable, but potential owners should be prepared that it may shorten his lifespan. Like all ACR cats, Pluto is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites.
