Pixie's Story
Pixie entered the world on April 10, 2018, born to a Munchkin breeder in Iowa — a tiny cat with tiny legs and a heart far too big for the hardships she would face.

Her life hasn’t been the gentle story she deserved.

At just four years old, Pixie was surrendered by her first family for being “not social enough.” She tried again with a second family, hoping she had finally found her forever… only to be abandoned outside years later, left alone in May of 2025 to survive however she could.

And yet, through every disappointment, every change, and every moment of confusion, Pixie never lost her spirit.

Once rescued, she received the medical care she desperately needed, including a full dental removal due to advanced disease. For months at the Humane Society, Pixie hid in the back corner of her cage, terrified and unsure. But today? She is comfortable, healthy, and finally safe — and she is blossoming in her foster home as if she still believes that somewhere out there, someone is meant just for her.

After meeting her fellow feline fosters, Pixie revealed her true personality and became a full-speed feline torpedo. She doesn’t walk anywhere — she zooms. She loves pouncing on her friends, bunny-kicking her toys, and claiming the highest spots on the cat trees. She may be the smallest and oldest feline in her foster home, but she has the biggest, most energetic personality. Her antics can keep you entertained for hours.

With humans, Pixie is a shy soul at first, but once you earn her trust and start petting her, she melts into a drooling, purring machine.

For seven long years, Pixie was misunderstood, shuffled around, and left behind. Yet she still waits with hope. She still believes love is possible.

Now she’s ready for her true beginning. Pixie would do best in an adult-only home with other feline companions.

Will you be the one to show Pixie what it feels like to finally — finally — be home?

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age.
