Pistachio's Story
Lovely Pistachio recently arrived back at the rescue after her family made the heart breaking decision to return her as she was not adapting well to the dynamics and energy of their home. This darling lady did not stay long at the rescue as her foster mom scooped her up as a companion to fellow foster Sylvester. Since her arrival, Pistachio has bloomed into a gentle and confident kitty that is incredibly social and just 'chill' in her foster home. Quickly receiving the nick name 'Sweet P", Pistachio enjoys spending time in the office, in the bedrooms, with any human, and any kitty, to sleep and to play with ease. She very quickly adopted Sylvester as her best kitty friend, encouraging him to accept her company, but leaving him to his own when he wanted. It was days - not weeks - for introductions to the resident foster kitties as Pistachio made things so easy, submitting when pushed, playing when prompted, or just flat out ignoring and avoiding to prevent any conflict. It was not until a thunderstorm rolled through that Sweet P's anxiety and fears emerged, with her running to underside of the bed, trembling with fear, and refusing to come out for roughly an hour after. She is certainly not a fan of loud noises, but once the fear has passed, Pistachio goes right back to her nonchalant and affectionate self. Adults are no problem for Pistachio and she has greeted many visitors in her foster home, but she is unsure and not trusting of young children. She also is very avoidant of dog barking so would do best in a kitty only household. The purrfect home is out there waiting for Sweet P - come meet her and see if that home could be yours!

If you are interested in adopting, please submit the application below and submit the $5 application fee. Please also take the time to review our adoption requirements including our vaccine and preventative requirements for existing pets in the home. If your pet is not up to date on veterinary care, we kindly ask that you have that completed prior to applying since we cannot hold any animals.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScfwj4E8INvJgwuroLMdnOlLRZo_n3PQBHyowerHONa-i2j4g/viewform?fbclid=IwY2xjawQFrC1leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETIwSmIwOFdiNzVIaVY0Wktkc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIy
