Pistachio's Story

Pistachio is a female cat who came to UPAWS as a stray and arrived pregnant. She safely gave birth and cared for her kittens, and now that her mama duties are complete, it’s time for Pistachio to find a home of her own.

Pistachio is very timid but incredibly gentle. She tends to hide and prefers quiet spaces where she can feel safe and observe from a distance. She’s not a cat who seeks out attention right away, but she is calm, non-reactive, and soft in her presence. With time, patience, and a predictable routine, Pistachio has the potential to slowly build trust in a home environment.

This sweet girl will do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with an adopter who understands shy cats and is willing to let her move at her own pace. She may never be a bold, outgoing cat — but for the right person, offering her safety and kindness will be deeply meaningful.
