Piper's Story

Name: Piper
Male DSH black
Estimated DOB: 3/18/2025

About: Piper is a sweet, 7 month old boy with silky fur who has a very loud purr and loves to play with toys.

Backstory: Piper and his brother wandered up to a home where the kind person sought help for them. We have gotten their vet care taken care of. His brother Milo is currently in a fospice (foster hospice) home because it was discovered when he went in for neuter that he had a VERY bad heart murmur and most likely only has a few months to live. Piper has adjusted well to life without his brother (they are in separate foster homes now) and would make a good companion for any home.

Location: in foster

Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, fill out an application online at www.figandfriendspetrescue.org/adopt

Fig and Friends Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
~We do not adopt to homes with animals who are not spayed or neutered unless there is a valid reason such as vet recommendation. ~We do check references including landlord if you rent and your vet both past and present. ~We do not adopt to homes that plan on declawing the cat we have adopted out to you or that plan on letting a cat outside (unless on a leash and harness under owner's continued observation). ~If we see something on your application that we are concerned about, we will always try and have a conversation with you to find out the why. We understand you might have declawed a cat in the past or had to rehome an animal. It can happen to anyone. We like to dig deeper and won't deny someone just based on surface information.
