PIP's Story

MEET PIP!

Looking for a best friend? Work from home partner? Someone who will be excited to see you come home after a long shift at work? Pip is your girl! We can’t believe she hasn’t caught the eye of her future people yet, but we’re hoping her time will come soon!

Pip is around 12-13 years old and joined City of Elderly Love after being surrendered to Philly’s animal control shelter along with her senior housemate after their owner passed away. Sadly, Pip’s housemate passed away of cancer not long after joining the rescue.

Pip is the best of both worlds – she’s sweet, affectionate, and social, while also being a complete mischievous goofball. Pip loves people and will never miss the chance to cuddle up on the couch (or your lap, or your bed, even under the covers). She’ll probably be waiting right outside the door while you’re in the bathroom but who doesn’t love having their own hype-cat? Pip also loves to play - her favorite toys are springs, shiny foil balls, and feather wands. She's also great about using her cardboard scratcher. If you're looking for a cat who won't try to climb on the furniture or won't try to push your water bottle off the table, Pip might not be a cat for you. She loves to be involved and explore her surroundings and will keep you laughing while she does it!

Pip isn’t currently living with other pets, but tolerated her senior housemate before he passed away. She has had the chance to be introduced to foster kittens/cats but has shown that she’d prefer to be the only-pet in her sunset years.

Pip is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! She has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
