Pip's Story

Pip is a 9 year old (born 3/31/2017) beautiful grey female. Pip is short for Pipsqueak because she was the runt of her litter. Pip is a lap cat all the way and she will follow you around all day long as her favorite thing is to be with her person. Pip is a talker and she will meow to greet you. She has a very squeaky, kitten like meow that is very cute and she has a nice purr when she is laying on your lap. She is also a “master biscuit baker” and she stretches out while kneading.

When people visit, Pip will most likely hide but she will eventually come out if everyone is sitting and talking but it takes a little bit for her to get comfortable with strangers. We don’t know how she will be with children or with other animals so a home with adults or older children only may be best.

Pip is very playful and loves her Yeoww! catnip crinkle toys and wand toys. If she doesn’t want to be touched, she will give you a warning sign with her ear backs or her tail is moving quickly but if you aren’t paying attention, she may swat and scratch you. Most of the time she is fine being picked up and if you let her, she will sleep with you each night.

Pip has feline asthma and needs to have a treatment with an inhaler every other day which only takes about 30 seconds and she tolerates it really well. Reuben’s Room will pay for the cost of her medication for at least a year for Pip’s adopter and possibly longer if needed and we will show you how to give her the treatment. Other than her asthma, she has had recent bloodwork and all came back within normal limits.

Pip loves to follow you around the house, almost like a dog, and if you stand still for too long, she will sit on your foot. If there is a mirror, she has been known to go up to it and paw at her reflection (not with her claws). She loves to be warm and will lay in front of heaters for hours and she does surprisingly well on car rides.

Pip will go to her new home with several supplies including her medication for a great start with her new family. Can you make room in your heart and home for this beautiful sweetie?
