Pina Colada's Story
Piña Colada – Our young Dilute Tortie Who’s Sweet, Soft-Spoken, and Secretly Runs the Place

Piña Colada (Piña for short) is a dreamy little cloud of pastel peach, cream, and lavender with huge golden eyes and the gentlest presence you’ll ever meet. She’s the kind of cat who tiptoes into a room, offers one tiny “mew?” like she’s apologizing for existing, then immediately starts investigating your phone, your coffee mug, and whatever you’re doing with the quiet confidence of a very polite inspector.

She’s a quiet lovebug. Not the loud, in-your-face type—she’s the cat who appears silently beside you on the couch, waits for an invitation, then melts into your hand the moment you start petting. Her purr is soft but constant, like distant ocean waves. Run your fingers down her back and she does the slow, luxurious full-body stretch that says “yes, this is acceptable, continue.”

Picking her up? Totally fine—she goes limp and snuggly... unless she was in the middle of something important (like watching a dust mote or supervising dinner prep). Then you’ll get one mildly annoyed ear flick and a look that says “I was working, but okay, I guess we’re doing this now.”

Piña Colada gets along with other cats as long as everyone understands basic manners. She’s happy to share space, share sunbeams, even share toys—but if another kitty crowds her or tries to groom her face off, she delivers a perfectly polite hiss that translates to “personal bubble, please.” A mellow, respectful feline roommate (or being the only princess) would make her happiest.

If you want a young, soft-spoken sidekick who narrates your day in tiny squeaks, curls up like a cotton-candy croissant when it’s cuddle time, and believes the world is full of fascinating mysteries (most of them located in your laundry basket), Piña Colada is ready to go home.

Come meet Piña. She’s already curious about what your couch feels like.

Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after a form has been submitted online:

https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/forms/
