Petunia 's Story

Petunia is new to the shelter. She travelled from her foster home in North Carolina to our shelter in NH. Petunia is finding the shelter to be a very scary place. In her foster home she would quietly seek out the company of her people but was always out and about. (as you can see by the photos in her foster home) Petunia is the type of cat who will reward a patient person with the sweetest moments - soft purrs, quiet companionship, and the joy of watching her confidence grow. She just needs someone willing to give her a chance to love her at her own pace and to show her that the world is a safe place. 1 year old Cats can live up to 20 years, you need to consider this when adopting and choosing the age of the cat you wish to adopt to give them a lifelong, stable home as you are making a commitment for the lifetime of the animal.
