Petra - ssb's Story
SPOT is proud to introduce the world to Petra!

This sweet, quiet girl is one of 7, 6 girls and a boy. She is almost all black with just one white spot in the middle of her chest.

Petra is the smallest of the 7 and has a tendency towards shyness. She hangs back while her siblings are getting into everything. But once she is comfortable her wonderful personality and temperament come out.

She loves to cuddle up on a warm blanket at her foster mom's feet. She also sleeps with her foster mom every night. She purrs a big purr when she's being petted and she has the softest coat, perfect for petting.

But don't let her initial shyness fool you. This little girl has a wild side. She loves to be up high and happily climbs the tallest cat tree in her foster home. She races around chasing her siblings and playing with a variety of toys, and some things that are not toys.

She plays with her big brother, Charly, a lot (not always willingly, big brothers *shrug*). She has been fine with the resident cats, ranging in age from 1-12. Although she doesn't seek them out, after taking some time to get familiar with them, she isn't nervous around them. She might do well as a companion to another cat if the introductions are made slowly to accommodate her innate caution.

She would do well with a person who's home a lot. She's shy and cautious enough that adults or older, respectful children would be the best environment for her.

If you are a patient person looking for a soft, furry, purring companion, Petra might be your perfect match. Submit an application for the chance to meet sweet, little Petra.

Petra is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and blood tested for feline leukemia and FIV. She has also been treated for fleas and parasites.

The adoption fee is $175 and there is a $25 discount when adopting a pair. If you are interested in meeting Petra or any of her littermates, please fill out the adoption application at www.savingpetsoneatatime.org.
